It is VERY important, when you are confident you are nicer and interact more, when you are less confident you are more likely to doubt everything you say, believe or feel, this affects others…confident people don’t have to talk about others to feel better, they accept differences more easily….

It is essential. If someone doesn’t have confidence in themselves, you can tell. And if they don’t even think they’re worthwhile, they’ll constantly be putting themselves down and being a drag in general. You want to be around people who’re okay with who they are. Those without confidence are completely reliant on others to keep them afloat, and it’s just too much work to try to make them happy all the time and it starts getting you down in turn. It’s a bad cycle. My favorite type of person is someone who’s up-front about everything. If they don’t like me, I’d rather they were truthful about it than try (and fail) to act nice to my face.

self confidence is very important but when it swings into narcissism then there comes dysfunction…I do not think that the lack of self confidence makes someone less interesting…sometimes the most interesting are the most dysfunctional…and my favorite personality trait in a person is loyalty…
