How do you get more self-confidence without being stuck up?
ScurvyyyyyyyyBitch! asked:
Many people say that more people, and guys, would like you if you have more confidence. I don’t know if I agree with this but that is just a bonus. Whether if its true or not I still want more self-confidence since I have low self-esteem. Any tips?

Believe in yourself! The fact that you are concerned about being stuck-up sorta proves that you’re not.

A stuck up person does not ask questions of others… only talks about themselves

Stuckup is fake.
Confidence is knowing and liking who you are…..start getting to know yourself, your strenghs, your weaknesses and start to cherish them, value them, and sharing them.
Good Luck

just believe in your self. what helps me is go to the mall or a movie by myself. it helps make you less dependent on your friends to make you feel good about your self

Everyone is self concious, some people are better at hiding it. Low self esteem is caused by not thinking you are awesome, which you are! nobody is perfect- your a heap lot better than me anyhow. I have huge cnfidence, but I don’t really like myself.

Think of everyone as equal friends. Don’t get caught up in the sizing up of people. Every person has insecurities. If you treat everyone kindly, they will be kind to you.

The difference between being being self-confident and being stuck-up is that with self-confidence you can be self-confident without putting other people down for no apparent reason other than to make you feel better about yourself (ie. being ’stuck-up’).
The easiest way to get more self-confidence is to do something you’re good at doing, be it a sport, singing, writing, helping others, you name it. Other people do notice and you’ll get positive feedback that makes you feel good about yourself.
Another thing I found is that if you have low self-esteem, you’re not likely to get out there with other people. When I took up a part-time job as a check-out chick in high school, I was forced to deal with lots of people and develop people skills, and I quickly found out that I enjoyed working with people.
I guess I’d highly recommend a part-time job if you’re a student, and if you’re already working, I would suggest getting involved in something you like to do or would like to, like a sport, an artistic class or self-defence course, or perhaps voluteer in your local retirement home helping others, because you’ll discover rather quickly that you’re a really cool person that can do what ever they put their mind to and be happy

Relax. That is the perfect way to show how confident you are. You have to like who you are first before your self-esteem can grow. Challange any negitive thoughts with positive ones and know that others have the same thoughts as you. Take care and enjoy your life and do not worry to much what others think. XXXX
